Jo's March Finish, April Non-start and May's Choice

I think that covers everything!

Here is the design I stitched for Haunted House in March scrapbooked on a suitable spooky paper:

This is a freebie from La Contesse's blog.  I changed it slightly to make it square and added a little witch charm instead of the charted stitched bats.  It is stitched over 1 on 28count burnt orange Jazlyn.  

I didn't manage to stitch anything for April's Free Choice because I was busy with Easter giveaway prizes so I thought we'd skip a month and dive straight into May's Ghost.

I have a choice of two, one is from JCS Hallowe'en Special 2012, a simple ghost with the word Boo in orange.  The other is a freebie from a new blog called Snowflower Diaries, you may have heard of it?  It will probably come down to time (or lack thereof!)

March and April finished

My ornies for March and April are finished (stitched, that is).  For March it's Haunted House by Handblessings:

April's is called Night Owl by Prairie Schooler:

And I even have one picked out for May but I can't remember what it's called or the designer right now .... but it's a ghost playing the saxophone.  It will be a gift for my nephew, who is learning to play the sax.  How perfect is that??

Jo's March Finish (almost!)

The house itself is finished!  There are just some words to be added underneath the house.

Actually it's more of a Haunted Castle but hey - an Englishwoman's Home is her Castle so this is my house!

I've stitched this on Burnt Orange 28 count using one strand of black over 1.  You should be prepared to see this combination quite alot over the coming year.

Elaine's March Ornament

Here's my Haunted House for March. It's stitched on 14 ct plastic canvas. The chart is a freebie from Lucie Heaton that I've had saved for a while. I added some sparkly felt to the back. I got this felt a long time ago. It had a .10c clearance sticker on it and now I wish I would have bought more. It's perfect for things like this. For the hanger I just braided 3 of the colors in the design. Now...what to stitch for April... :)

Jo's March Choice

Techically this is more of a Haunted Castle than a Haunted House but it's been on my list since I saw it last Hallowe'en - 

La Contesse le Point de Croix

I will probably stitch this on the same burnt orange fabric I used for February and use 1 strand over 1 again to make it a more manageable size - 5 inches rather than 10!
