Elaine's March Ornament

Here's my Haunted House for March. It's stitched on 14 ct plastic canvas. The chart is a freebie from Lucie Heaton that I've had saved for a while. I added some sparkly felt to the back. I got this felt a long time ago. It had a .10c clearance sticker on it and now I wish I would have bought more. It's perfect for things like this. For the hanger I just braided 3 of the colors in the design. Now...what to stitch for April... :)

Ghostly Haunted House

I love seeing how different everyone's haunted houses are!  My haunted house is from a 1997 Dimensions leaflet called Halloween Quickies.  It's stitched on a piece of gray linen from my stash with DMC colors listed in the pattern.  Trimmed in black cording, it has a bat bead at the top.

Looking forward to "my choice" next month but haven't decided what it will be yet.

Haunted House - March

I was searching for a haunted house pattern and came up with this:

It’s a portion of a bigger pattern called All Hallow’s Eve by Lavender Wings.  The frame I picked up at Michaels.  I haven’t decided what color (if any) to paint it.

All the haunted houses look great this month.

Happy stitching.

HAUNTED HOUSE

As I have promised I have designed a pattern for this theme, too.   I had enjoyed it so much, though looking at the finished model, I had to admit it would have been much better for May's ghost theme...:-)

This is a free pattern, so if you would like to download it or you would like to see more pictures, you are very welcome at my blog

Sheri's March Ornament

Well, I will not have my March ornament finished either stitched or turned into an ornament. I have not been feeling this ornament and only have a 1/4 of it stitched. I was also hoping to have the 1st qtr ornaments all finished into an actual ornament by the end of March, but that is not happening either. Hopefully by the end of April.

Love seeing everyone else's ornaments!

Just viewed all the Halloween ornaments for this month, great stitching.  Here is my Haunted house.
I will be stitching Brooke Nolan's Sally Stitch Witch from Just Cross Stitch.  I have it started.

March Ornament

Well, I had a change of mind on my March Ornament. I went with a different Haunted House. This little design is from The Prairie Schooler, the leaflet is called Boo to You.

Pat's Haunted House

Here's my March Haunted House:

...from the Prairie Schooler Boo to You booklet.
PTP Heritage 40-count linen,
worked with one strand over two.
All DMC except for the black:  Gloriana Charcoal.
The silk is a little fatter than the cotton floss,
and seems to give better coverage.
It looks like the Gloriana will be used for all
of my 40-count ornies!

Just a little late . . . .

I finished my February ornament a week ago or so - actually I did 2 of them because I didn't like the first one (the grey fabric) I stitched -- it will become a gift for someone.  I'm happier with the second one -- and I will keep it:

I'm working on March's haunted house and have all hopes it will be done in time.  Hopefully, things will slow down in the near future and I can get more stitching time in.

Katie's March

I couldn't find a Haunted House I liked so this little guy decided I needed to stitch him instead haha. Here are the details...

Hello,

I have found  a great linen for my March design, I think it will be perfect for the haunted house theme, all those dark shadows, clouds and ghostly feeling, I had to show you!:-)
It is from my friend,  Nina (www.betweencrosses-sale.blogspot.hu),  her new collection of linen is not yet published, but coming soon!:-)

Running late here, too!!!!

I am bit behind on my posting. (I just finished posting on Christmas Ornament SAL blog).  Here is my finished February ornament and the my choice for March.

This was from the 2012 JCS Halloween issue - Black Cat Alphabet by JBW Designs.  The one I chose for March is also from the same issue - Black Oak Lane by  Full Circle Designs.
I still need to pick my fabric and threads for this.

Happy stitching!!!!

Opened my blog!:-)

Dear Fellow Halloween Stitchers,

I am happy to tell you that I opened my stitching and designer blog yesterday, you are very welcome!  As I am a huge fan of Halloween you can for sure expect lot of Halloween and witchcraft themed patterns to come.

I had even launched the blog with a free Halloween design (no surprise if you knew me:-)))

I came up in this group with my own designs in January and February, too, I will keep this habit as it is an excellent challenge for me and encourage me to come up with new releases, I am already working on my haunted house freebie design!

My blog, The Snowflower Diaries can be found here

Tuesday 5 March 2013

Here is a picture of my February piece which was finished stitching mid February. I was hoping to have it finished into an ornament before posting, but alas, that did not happen. This piece is called Yeow from the 2012 Special Collector's Issue Halloween designed by Pamela Byrd Smith of The Prairie Schooler. Fabric is unknown as it is a scrap piece from my stash.

March's piece will be a haunted house from a British cross stitch magazine. Hopefully, I will have at least the 1st qtrs pieces all finished into ornaments by the end of March.

Pat's March Ornament

Haunted House design from
Prairie Schooler's Boo to You leaflet.
The blue-looking floss is really medium gray,
and the floss on the right is a dark khaki.
It's hard to tell, but the linen is an overdyed green.
My Frebruary ornament.  I will be stitching a freebie haunted house for March.

Jo's March Choice

Techically this is more of a Haunted Castle than a Haunted House but it's been on my list since I saw it last Hallowe'en -

will probably stitch this on the same burnt orange fabric I used for February and use 1 strand over 1 again to make it a more manageable size - 5 inches rather than 10!
