Jo's May Finish

I decided to go for the small and cute Ghost this month.  This is by a new-to-me designer, Val's Stuff as featured in the 2012 Hallowe'en Ornie Special of JCS.

I stitched it on 32 count twilight blue linen, and used the recommended colours but changed the stars to yellow smyrna stitches and the cat's eyes to green french knots instead of yellow.

I'm going to make this one into a little trick or treat mini bag and give it away on my Hallowe'en Blog Hop this October.  Unless I put it in a safe place and can't find it again...

Here is the backing fabric I chose:

I'm struggling to find a good choice for tombs or Mummies but I think I have a plan!  It involves an existing design and a pencil and graph paper.  watch this space!

  2. This is a very cute design! It was my first choice until I found the Bent Creek design which I'm still stitching! You're very generous with your stitched creations. I'm stitching ALL of mine for my black tree!
